Our Story

HOW IT ALL STARTED

In 1999, Outdoor Network Chairman and Founder, Tom D’Azevedo, walked into his local marine dealership intending to leave with a new boat and left owning the entire dealership instead.

In Tom’s own words: “I came in to shop and the experience I had at that dealership was so frustrating, I suggested the owner sell it to someone that can run it right; and that’s exactly what he did!

Tom ended his retirement early and took the Central Florida Yamaha dealership purchase personally. Dealership employees were trained to put customer experience first, and Tom himself began investing in the purchase of overstocked inventory to offer aftermarket and original manufacturer parts at prices below retail.

With the purchase of that dealership, Tom began working to create the dream retail experience where customers are treated like family, and no one pays full price; principles that still drive the Outdoor Network family of brands today.

This was the dealership that started it all. In the nearly two decades since the purchase of that first dealership, Outdoor Network has grown into an industry-leading powerhouse of marine, powersports and small engine properties — including Partzilla.com, Boats.net, Firedog.com, Powersportsplus.com and the Boatersworld.com.

WHAT WE DO

Outdoor Network is a premiere dealer and distributor powerhouse with one goal in mind: to get enthusiasts back up and running without breaking the bank, whether they need a whole new machine or just the parts.

Our e-commerce websites — Boats.net, Partzilla.com, and Firedog.com — work hand-in-hand with our marine and powersports dealerships to deliver millions of genuine Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Polaris, Suzuki, Can-Am, Mercury, and Evinrude parts directly to customers with no middleman to slow things down. Our dealerships have earned the BRP Platinum title as well as the Kawasaki Ichiban Dealer title — a reward reserved for the top-20 Kawasaki dealers in the country. We’re also a Yamaha Five-Star dealer, where we’ve been selected best-in-class for 14 years.
